🎯 The Challenge:
As Kiss and Makeup expanded, so did the risks. With more shelving, new blind spots, and an increasing range of high-value beauty products, the team began noticing a rapid rise in in-store theft. What had once been a low-theft environment quickly became a test of whether technology could genuinely prevent losses before they occurred.
The iShadow Proof of Concept
Over 6 months, iShadow cameras were positioned to cover key shelving zones, blind spots, and the checkout area. The system analysed thousands of in-store interactions, from casual browsing and product pick-ups to concealments and attempted exits. Each event was automatically tracked and categorised, giving the team a clear view of what was happening on the floor in real time.
The Result
iShadow successfully detected and tracked every product pick-up and was able to identify non payments with precision. More importantly, it changed behaviour: customers and would-be offenders quickly realised the store was being actively monitored. Since deployment, theft incidents have dropped sharply, and staff confidence has grown knowing they can intervene early.
